My Wife’s Birthday Gift - a HP Photosmart R725 Digital Camera

So what did I buy the light of my life for her 37th birthday?

The only thing she asked for of course… A new digital camera!

Unfortunately, she wanted the HP Photosmart R725 and I couldn’t find one in stock locally. So I hopped on over to mySimon for a little comparison shopping and the best price I could find was at pcRush. I’d never ordered from them before so I wasn’t sure how reliable they were but they did have some nice reviews from previous customers and I was using my VISA so that I had some recourse if things went badly.

I needn’t have worried as the box that arrived from pcRush via FedEx was well packed and arrived quickly as I placed my order on April 3rd and my order shipped on April 4th!

I can honestly say that I will be purchasing from pcRush again!

My Life with ZUNE v1.0

Well, I decided to keep my ZUNE, due in part to the fact that there are two other ZUNE owners where I work so I can be “socialable” with my ZUNE.

One of the first things I discovered about the ZUNE is that the 3.5mm headphone (audio out) jack seems to be very “stiff” causing me to worry that I might damage the headphone jack while swapping out my headphones for my car audio patch cable. So my search ensued for a short dongle/extension cable that I could plug directly into the ZUNE headphone jack that would eliminate the necessity of connecting headphones of patch cables into the ZUNE itself. Unfortunately I was able to find at first was 6-10 ft long extension cables when all I really needed was something about 6 inches long… Finally I tried Radio Shack and they had a 1ft long Radio Shack brand “Volume Control Cable” for about 8 bucks which is actually working quite well!
